St. Johnstone F.C.

Based in Perth, a small city on the banks of the River Tay in Central Scotland, the name of the football club is derived from the origins of the city "the town of St. John". Saints play in the Scottish First Division (we've just been relegated from the Premier League) but in recent years have had some success, playing in the Uefa Cup in 1999-2000 (losing to Monaco). We're never going to challenge the big boys on a consistent basis because of the size of the city (50,000) but I was born there and I couldn't support any other team.

If you're not Scottish, why not follow Saints as your Scottish team ? If you are Scottish, why not support the right team ? We need all the support we can get at present !

There are some excellent sites (below) dedicated to Saints and an e-mail distribution list that keeps fans like me who can't get to the games fully up-to-date.
